The others were replaced by the Mustang GT series. Any reviews, insights and experiences are appreciated. There were V1 and V2 versions of all five, but the Mustang 1 V2 is the only one still made. ![]() From what little I've seen on line and YouTube it looks very impressive and versatile, especially the new 5-button foot pedal. I was going to buy the amp but opted for the Mustang Floor foot controller which has all the same brains on the floor but can be used direct to a PA or any amp you have on hand and it sounds great.(no need to pack an amp).same price as the amp but gives me a lot more choice in what I hook up to.ran it through my little Club ZT 12" and it sounds like a Fender Deluxe now, ran it through my Carvin big PA and little PA and through my Fishman Solo amp.all of them sound great to include acoustic and electric guitars.if I was just buying an amp it would be the Mustang III.it will fill any small venue requirements, make a good practice amp and can be run to the PA and used as a monitor. 1 Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the new Mustang GTX series I'm considering the GTX-100. ![]() runs $274 at MF which is a great price for what you get.and get the extra footswitch if buying the amp. It is a solid state 100watt amp with all the pre-sets etc. I'd think the III would be a great all around amp - tons of presets available, quality speaker (Celestion), and 100 watts. The Twin and Deluxe sounds are really good. Naturally, the Fender sounds are the closest. It has great reviews and those that have tried them on the forum were impressed (mainly due to the 12" Celestion GT 12T-100 speaker). The tones are really good, better than I thought they'd be. ![]()
